Yeah, you guys have a really bad setup there. I was curious and looked on Google Earth one day. I came to the conclusion that Scotland is the best place probably, but there’s not a lot of forest area in which to hide. So, get a sailboat? Sail to a region in the world that is safe. If no region is safe, see my article about the ‘Best Bug Out Islands.’ Then enjoy some beaches and coconuts. 🙂

bugging out seems to be a term imported from the usa—fair enough—except that there they have vastly more space than we do.
weapons too—but I’m of the opinion that if everyone is heavily armed they might cancel each other out.
In UK—where can you bug out to?
In Uk its almost impossible to be out of sight of human habitation. Caches of anything in quantity would be difficult to stash pre-bugout, unless I’m missing a trick or two on that?
Here the land all belongs to someone—refugees from Birmingham arriving in, say, Wales, would I fear get much the same welcome as Syrians after the first few arrivals.
In some North Welsh towns you sometimes get that feeling already.!!!!
If you ‘bugged out’ pre SHTF— how could you decide ‘when’—and how do you cope with kids in that situation if you have any?
If you bugged out post SHFT— roads would be blocked solid.
As it says in the article above—once you leave your home you are a homeless refugee. Always as well to bear that in mind.
